Bankrupt Mendy is suing Manchester City.

"Mendy has gone to war with Manchester City after filing a 'multi-million pound' lawsuit over unpaid wages," the Daily Mail reported on Nov. 21 (ET).

Mendy is accused of sexually assaulting a 24-year-old woman in the bedroom of his home in October 2020. He was also accused of attempting to rape a 29-year-old woman at his home two years earlier. When Mendy later appeared in court, he did not speak after giving only his name, address, and date of birth.

That changed in January 2023. Mendy was found not guilty of seven of the nine counts against him, and in July, it was reported that he had been cleared of all of his crimes.

In a statement, Mendy said, "I thank the jury for focusing on the evidence rather than the rumors. I am pleased that the right verdict was reached. It's been three years since the police investigated this matter. I tried to stay strong, but I couldn't. I am grateful to everyone who supported me during the ordeal. I ask for privacy so that I can rebuild my life." 카지노

Mendy saw City stop paying him his £100,000 ($161 million) a week wages in September 2021. Now, according to British outlet Sky Sports, Mendy has filed a "multi-million pound claim" against City for unpaid wages.

The case was reportedly filed at an employment tribunal recently, with Mendy claiming unauthorized deductions from his wages while the case is pending. Mendy was originally contracted to Manchester until June 2023.

As a result, Mendy is now demanding his salary from September 2021 to June 2023 and the expiration of his contract. Renowned sports lawyer Nick De Marco KC is acting on Mendy's behalf in the case.

"Nick De Marco KC is acting on behalf of former Manchester City player Mendy, who is claiming millions of pounds for unauthorized deductions from his wages," Sky Sports said in a statement. Manchester City FC did not pay Mr. Mendy any wages from September 2021 until the end of his contract in June 2023 after he was charged with various offenses."
